23/12/05 Here's hoping you all have a great christmas. It's been a great year with plenty of cool trips and next year we are planning to top it. So stayed tuned. Thanks to everybody who has contributed to the site and everyone who has visited. See you all in the new year. T.Bawn
18/12/05 It's nearly christmas! But before we get to that we managed to fit in a great climbing session on the Avon gorge on saturday. We climbed 4 routes including Nightmare which is classed as a severe and was truely a great climb. And the weather couldn't have been better, clear blue skies and warm sun! Looking forward to the next trip. Took a little river fishing trip today armed with bread and cheese and had some success in the way of a few nice Chub but the big roach are avoiding me!??! A 2 day winter walking trip is being planned for around the week after christmas if anyone is interested and we are also trying to sort a day in the week to meet up for a few beers. T.Bawn
05/12/05 Well it's been a little quiet the last couple of weeks but back to normal again now. A trip on the weekend around Blagdon lake in Somerset turned out to be a nice walk and the deer popping out of the hedgerow was a nice treat. And if it's trout fishing your after you need to check this place out. Some of the Brown trout we saw were huge. More trips are being planned for the coming months including walking in North & South Wales, Surfing the Gower, Pike fishing trips, indoor climbing and of course a christmas get together. There will also be a copy of the 2005 uk-active slide show including pictures and video's from throughout the year on CD for everyone who would like a copy. Let me know if you want one. T.Bawn
15/11/05 What can I say about Scotland? Why have we never visited there before?!?! Our eyes of have been open to the scottish mountains which can only mean more trips!! Anyway after a bit of very windy and rainy weather we had a clear day which just gave us enough time to climb Ben Nevis (UK's highest mountain). The scenery was amazing and loads of great pictures to add to the site. Missed Vicky rolling down the hill though! Anyway all of that to come. Plenty planned in the coming weeks including a caving trip in the week and maybe a trek somewhere on the weekend if anyone is interested? I have also been told a possible paintballing trip is being planned. Email for more information. T.Bawn
09/11/05 A very wet weekend last weekend! Anyway it's the Scotland trip on the 11th, hope the weather holds out long enough to climb Ben nevis! Also going to try to fit in some ice climbing in the ice factor centre. Trying to plan the surf trip at the end of the month so i could do with names and dates from those interested. Found a great route to try out in the coming weeks in the western side of the Black Mountains if anyone would like to come to that. So be back soon. Don't forget you can also go watch the touts on the information below this weekend. A top night out full of great music. T.Bawn

More than we caught on our trip carping on the river in week but we will try again! A great Halloween party on saturday night and who can forget the nail game. Just got back from checking out a few local surf spots for future trips. They all looked promising so watch this space. Plenty planned for the week and a trip to the mountains next weekend so email me if your interested. T.Bawn
24/10/05 Congratulations to everyone on saturday for successfully completing the commando challenge and making it a great day. Although i think that's enough mud for this year lol. But back next year for sure! More pictures on that coming soon. The surf session on sunday was also a great success @ Caswell bay. More on that coming soon too. Plenty planned this weekend so get in touch if interested. T.Bawn
21/10/05 Just a couple of updates to the site. The first is the Snowdonia gallery from the summer. The second is you can always get an up to date surf report by visiting the new surf cams page. The weekend should be great with plenty of muddy tales tomorrow lol. See you then. T.Bawn
17/10/05 How can we describe the weekend!?!? Well the trip to Scotland to climb Ben Nevis is well under way with the flight tickets purchased and the maps thoroughly looked at and pondered at, which route to take??? Anyway on sunday myself and Stuart took a trip to Ilfracombe for a spot of Jetbiking and were treat with possibly the biggest swell we have ever been out in. Don't even want to think how the land would disappear every now and then. And as for Stuart's wave jumping antics!!!! More on that trip to come. Commando challenge this coming weekend and a surf trip to the Gower so stay tuned. T.Bawn
10/10/05 Our trip to Newgale proved to be a good choice on the weekend. Water was still quite warm and the surf was working ok on the saturday and although a little blown out on the sunday was still worth getting a wet wetsuit on for. And you also have the beach practically to yourself this time of the year!!!! We also found a gem of a campsite. More planned in the coming weeks including jetskiing in Ilfracombe, surfing in the Gower and fishing for river carp. T.Bawn
28/09/05 One cool little update for you. There is a new page on Mt Austabotntind in Norway which was recently climbed by our friends in Norway, Torunn & Helge. They sent me these pictures of the climb and you can see for yourself it looks like and absolute classic. If you like the look of this mountain then we may well attempt it sometime next year so get in contact. And we are also going to Newgale on fri 7th Oct - 9th Oct for a bit of surfing and a couple of beers if you fancy it. Oh and good luck to Grant on the weekend for the Bristol half marathon.
26/09/05 A quiet 2 day trip to a stillwater near London with Grant this weekend but it showed bags of potential for future trips. Last weekend a touch of kiting up the local park and a trip to the black mountains all added to an interesting weekend! Anyway more on all that coming soon. The commando challenge is coming up very soon and so far we have 9 in the team so if there are anymore let me know asap. Plenty more to come in the next couple of weeks.T.Bawn
13/09/05 Back with some cool pictures from Portugal. The surf was amazing and a special hi to all the guys who made it a great trip. Plenty of pictures and information on the trip will follow soon. We also managed to fit in a bit of biking too which was pretty cool. Anyway the commando challenge is coming up soon, a fishing trip to Kingsmead lake and a climbing trip with the guys from Kilimanjaro to the lake district are all to come. Still a few weeks left of summer!!!!!! T.Bawn
04/09/05 Off to the Sagres Natura surf camp in Portugal today for a week of surfing so this will be the last update for a week or so. A couple of people have asked about the commando challenge in October so i will send everyone a entry form as soon as i get back and we can then sort out transport. Don't forget the gigs below. Surf's up! T.Bawn
31/08/05 Well last weekend was a mixture of weird weather, mountains and rivers. A nice trip walking the horseshoe in the Brecon beacons. Fishing turned out great too with a nice barbel in the net. 31/05/05 Well summer is officially here with sunburn to prove it!!! A great session at the local water with a netfull of rainbow trout for the barbie and the trip to coombe martin was great if not a little windy on top the hill. The surfing in Croyde was great but was well and truly heaving with people so jetbiking from Ilfracombe was a nice break from the crowds. I can't say i'm going to miss scrappy(the dog) waking me up in the morning with a face licking but i am already missing the sea air. T.Bawn

23/05/05 You can now view Andy's climbing trip in Scotland fully by clicking here. The trip to the Gower coast on the weekend started off a bit wet but ended up being a classic surf session. 09/05/05 A great weekend with plenty of sun and wind which was perfect for some kite flying and jetbiking. A classic moment with Stuart on the power kite which can be viewed on our clip of the month which is on the home page. A trip to Ilfracombe in Devon turned out to be a little choppy which was great for jumping waves but a nightmare to stay on the ringo's. Plenty of falls and bruises on sunday!! Great fun.

On a personal note my mount Elbrus trip is almost sorted with just a few few bits and bob's to get. Although getting insurance was interesting because the government advise against traveling there. OOOPPSS!. Anyway this weekend we are off to north wales to spend a couple of days walking and camping in and around the mountains. Good training for me and also a get together of the Kilimanjaro group. And you can view the jetbiking in Ilfracombe from the previous week here. T.Bawn

03/05/05 Woolacombe was great on the weekend although the surf was a little small, still taking the jetbike around to Ilfracombe with the ringo was a top idea. Stu managed to chuck me on the ringo and the jetbike so i am no longer a high speed fall virgin!?!?! Slept through the thunder and lightening too! Just need time to recover from a little sunburn and ego (bloody winch!!!!) More to come in the week. T.Bawn

24/04/05 You can now view the long awaited river trip here. River Trip. 17/04/05 Avon gorge was the chosen destination for my first proper climb outdoors with tuition from Andy Caird. Although I felt safe with Andy's rope skills I was still aware of the big drops. And there was a slight fall which certainly got the heart pumping but all in all a great day climbing and a lot learnt on my behalf. The rain put a bit of a dampener on it, but gave Andy a chance to try out everything he knew lol. More about this trip in the week. T.Bawn
