Elbrus (The highest point in Europe)
Elbrus is 5,642m - 18,510 ft in height and is the highest mountain in the Caucasus range, which makes it the highest mountain in Russia and Europe. It's situated near the Russian and Georgia border and it's one of the seven summits! It was a great trip and really tested us from the start to the summit with ever changing weather, temperature and gradients. And on the 15th of June 2005 @ around 11:00am myself, Virve (Finish girl), Orjan (Swedish), Franciso (Swedish) and Sergei (Russian guide) reached the west summit, and were treated to a clear sky and some amazing views. Well for a little while anyway! Most of the information on this section is from our own personal experience's from this trip.
