Ben Nevis (The highest point in the UK)
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in the UK at 1,344 metres or 4,406 feet and is situated on the western side of Scotland next to Fort William. It is a mountain with many different types of climbing involved from the usual tourist routes to extreme ice climbing up the north east face. Of course this depends on the time of year but whenever route you choose you can't help being amazed by this mountain. But don't think that it's just a walk in the park because people die on the mountain every year so you need to be prepared. This section is based on a trip we did in November 05 and should help with a few questions and provide most of the information you will need to take into consideration when climbing.
