After a trip to the same place had previously been abandoned due to rain we were eager to get to the top and maybe get two climbs in. Andy had them all planned out and we found ourselves at the bottom of the Avon gorge at about 10.00 am with clear blue skies. The two routes we climbed were the Arete ordinary route (d) and Morpheus (vd). They were both classic routes and we did the first in 2 pitches and the second in 3. The climbing was great and the rock face was nice and dry. Although some of the hand holds here are a little polished but doesn't make to much of a difference. Everthing went ok and it was nice to get to the top of both climbs. There were a few nervy moments on my behalf but glad to have completed them both. Andy on the other hand made it look easy. Can't wait to go back an take on some more routes. T.Bawn
