Surfing in Portugal
When we decided to take a surf trip abroad we really looked around and finally we came across Sagres Natura surf school in Portugal. This section is based on this trip and full of pictures of our surfing, the beaches and the great people we met on the trip. It was a classic trip with loads of surf and is well recommended by the uk-active team. Portugal is a cool place to surf.

Sagres Natura Surf Camp

Sagre Natura surf school is situated about 300 metres from the main road in Sagres. It is a family run business and is ran from a fairly big surf apartment block. They make you feel really welcome and the way the whole trip works is great.

You can stay in a double room, single room or bunkhouse area and these all vary in price. There is a kitchen which everyone can use for cooking and there is also a room for chilling out and watching a few surf DVD's.

Breakfast is included in the price and is usually rolls, meat, cheese, cereal, fruit and drinks. Oh and what cutlery you get dirty you wash up!

Because of where Sagres is situated it means the surf school has access to a lot of great beaches in the area. You could go to a new beach every day! The surf lessons were great and they will split the group if a few are a little more than just beginners. The surf school instructors are very helpful and friendly and very laid back. Everything including traveling to the beaches, hire and information are included in the surf lessons.

Overall the surf school was a great choice and all who took lessons were up surfing by the end of the week. It was also great eating out with the guys from the surf school on the evenings too. Don't forget to grab your Sagres Natura tee-shirt when you visit this school, only 20 euros. Definitely recommended by the uk-active team. Great trip and one that will be repeated very soon.
