Newgale is a small place which has a huge barricade of pebbles as a defence from the sea. On one side you have a sandy beach which is idea for beginners, and on the other side the camp site, pub, garage/newsurf and cafe. When the surf is up this is a amazing place to be with the waves working well at all stages of the tide and at it's best near high tide. Newgale is easy to find with the A487 going through it. There are plenty of parking space's right next to the beach. The waves average about 1-3 feet and can reach 6 feet plus. When the surf is breaking well at high tide you can ride the waves practically on the line of the pebbles. If you are camping in Newgale there are a few things which may want to know:- There is one pub in Newgale called the Duke of Edinburgh Inn where you can enjoy hot food and a few beers. Or there is a cafe on the bend which also serves meals and more importantly hot brecky.
