Whitesands is a small sandy beach just past St.Davids in Pembokeshire. The waves work well at all stages of the tide and is a great beach for begginers and. In the summer the beach also has life guards on duty. Waves average between 2-4 feet but can reach 9 feet plus. When you drive through St.Davids you will see a sign on your left saying B4583 Whitesands. If you are parked in the car park you are practically on the beach. If you are in the campsite or caravan park it about a minutes walk. The camp sites are fairly cheap to stay in and there are also a few youth hostels dotted around the area. There are no pubs in Whitesands so we suggest a bottle of wine and some chill out music. However in the day there is a small shop where you can buy hot food and a pub a few miles up the road. When the surf is down then a trek up Carn Llidi, which is one of the highest point's in Pembrokeshire, is worth a try. The views on a clear day are amazing.
