Llangennith is a long sandy beach situated on the far tip of the Gower Coast in South Wales. Because of it's size there is always space to surf and it works well at most stages of the tide. But this beach seems to be prone to being blown out a lot so it's worth checking the webcams. If you are camping in Llangennith there are a few things which you may want to know:- There is a pub called the Kings head in the village which is about a mile from the camp site. In the day there is a cafe called Joe's right next to the beach and camp site from where hot meals and breakfast are available. Be aware when walking to the pub at night because if can be pitch dark and cars travel down this road a fair bit. At certain times of the year huge jellyfish get washed up on the beach and can feel weird when you swim into one under water. Some sting a little but it's bearable. And finally this is the place to chill on top of a sand dune and watch the sun go down over the surf.
There is hire available from the PJ's Surf Shop. They are also a great place to call up for a surf report and advice on surfing the Gower. Check them out:-
